Ordered these kilties to replace my original ones that came with my boots. I thought those were a little too short and these replacements needed just a little trimming, but are perfect! Thank you.
First pair of Nick’s I have two pairs of JK’s (OT’s and Superduty’s) but these are by far my favorite. Very glad I tried Nick‘s out. I will definitely be ordering more in the future. If you’re on the fence, these builder pros are great.
American craftsmanship at its finest. I’ve been buying Nicks boots for the past 10 years and I don’t want to wear anything else.. top notch leather quality/customer service/community. What more can you ask for?
They are what I was looking for. Breaking them in and I can tell they are made to last.
Seems pretty good so far, good sturdy material and build. But the real test is going to be in a few years, will it crack and break or will it be just as durable as the day it arrived in the mail...
My rebuild is absolutely awesome - I had them go up 1/2 size and change lasts. It looks like it was originally built that way. The construction and quality are exactly the same as a brand new pair - only the uppers are already broken in. I am a big fan of this service and wouldn’t hesitate to rebuild a pair in the future.
1964 Tan leather for me is ideal for suspenders. It’s tan that should patina nicely with daily wear. It’s soft and pliable for a suspender leather. Ideal for daily casual wear or somewhat formal attire. Artisan built and quality that should lifetime. Metal hardware goes along with the overall aesthetics
Highly recommended. My second pair of suspenders in Stained Russett Horsehide is even more unique. Considering another limited production when available
A heavy duty belt built the right way, The use of screws in the hardware, the thickness and quality of leather is best of any other belt I owned.
Very high quality boots. Easy to change the size if the fit isn't perfect the first time. Not ideal if you need a pair urgently, I waited for over 6 months to receive my pair and the size exchange, but totally worth it - very comfortable and didn't took that long to break into.
This is my third or fourth rebuild, the leather work on my boots are always exceptional, having the new leather sewn into my broken uppers makes wearing them a breeze when I first get them they feel like they’re already broken in. The only reason I didn’t give five stars is because you still use the Christie crêpe soles which are too thin and flimsy for the construction work I do. When I received my rebuild like I said, the leather work is fantastic. I wore them for one day and the crêpe soul is just horrible support when you’re standing on a line all day or a roof so I went to my local cobbler and I had them remove the crêpe so and install the Vibram 2021 outer sole for me, now the boot is perfect for my line of work, the Vibram sole gives me complete support on the arches of my feet when I’m on ladders and roofs because of the thickness and the sturdiness of the new sole. It’s a shame that I have to take a perfectly good rebuild and get the crêpe soul removed and pay an extra hundred dollars to get the Vibram sole that I want that you guys don’t carry anymore.
Nicks make a great product, they are the only boot that I have worn that has lasted me over a year wearing my boot for roughly 16 hours per day every day, for work or for church
Unfortunately my current pair had a delamination issues with the heals and took a little longer to get back than I anticipated, I had to purchase an inferior boot while I waited to get these back
When I finally received these back the leather on the soles and heals were polished and brown instead of the original black that I paid for when I ordered them.
Instead of sending them back again I’m opting to purchase the leather dye and color it myself
That being said they are still a very good, comfortable and safe boot especially for the work that I do
Every good boot deserves a good sock. A good boot only fits as well as a good sock will allow. Darn tough socks are good for my feet, and compliment the quality of effort that NICKS engineers into their foot wear
Love these boots. I’m about halfway through the breakin and they are already way more comfortable than any boot I have ever owned. Also the measurement guide was spot on for me.
One word to describe these boots….MAGNIFICENT…. Perfect fit. Can’t get over the leather smell. Will take a lot of hours to break in, but all part of the enjoyment of first class handcrafted boots. Love them
I haven't worn them a lot, so they're probably not broken but I think they'll work fine. Too early to tell yet.
I think the boots will be fine. I didn't order them to be rebuilt with a lineman patch on the inside of each boot. But I'm hoping that it'll work well for me. Not exactly what I ordered, but I think I can make it work.
Great build. Strong and tuff leather. 55 last is very nice.
