These are top notch boots: the 64 brown leather is incredibly thick and beautiful, the stitching is flawless., the fit is snug and comfortable and they look great. These are almost too nice to wear to work. The low profile HNW last is a really good fit for my really low volume feet. It's been a struggle to find boots that don't get too loose after break in. These have been the best fit right out of the box of any boot I've tried. The break-in is not to be overlooked. I'm still at the early stage of break-in after wearing them in the house for an hour or two at a time for the last few weeks, I've only just started wearing them to work. So far so good!

Not a major issue, but the shape of the top of the moc-toe looks too narrow in width for the Thurman last. It does not seem like there is actually any more vertical room in the toe-box because of this. Perhaps a moc-toe on the HNW last would have looked more normal. For me this is mostly an aesthetic issue, because the fit is still very good.

Otherwise, the boots are great and very comfortable. I also appreciated having the lightning quick-ship option.

Absolutely the best boot I've ever owned. And that's comparing Nicks to - Alden, Allen Edmonds, Red Wing, Russell, and Wolverine. Incredible quality and the leather is thick, tough, and yet soft. I ordered the 6" mock toe in Shackleton Greener Pastures.

They are nice boots, but I think some of my other boots half the price are just as nice.

Great boot. I ordered half a size too large because I needed toe protection so I was worried at first - I didn’t want to send it back because I felt bad since it was my fault. So I tied to find a solution.

I put one of their thick leather insoles in (30$ on Amazon) and fit more snug. The break in hasn’t been bad but I wear darn tough rfl and steely boot sock on top, which transferred the wear and tear between the socks. This combo instantly let me wear this as a work boot with out thinking of what was going on below.

My back actual feels better wearing these boots and it’s great for putting you more on your heels while pushing the custom foot print that you make by sheer weight helps keep the weight balanced front to back and left to right - giving amazing stability -> which lets your back turn off and relax.

I ordered the red oxblood bison leather. Was a little worried it would be too much for work but I’m happy with the choice. The leather laces were a bit rough on my hands when tieing but that was because I was trying to find the perfect tie over and over.

Clearly the best boots that money can buy. Nothing compares to the quality and look of my Nick’s.

These boots are above and beyond. I collect from a lot of amazing brands and these are at the top of the list. You can feel and notice the quality of them every day. I would highly recommend them to anyone. They’re definitely worth the money.

The boot is heavy and well built,with that said I have never worn a more comfortable boot.I'm thinking about another pair in a different color

I was stoked to order these when I heard that Nicks made a Moc toe. Here are the reasons that I ultimately decided to not order them.

1) The stitch down is only around the front. a traditional Moc has stitch down around the whole shoe. This makes the shoe look like it can't decide if its a Moc toe or a regular boot.

2) the toe box Moc stitching is not a traditional 2 piece stitch. Because they went with the 1 piece stitch the toe doesn't stand up in a more boxy way like a traditional 2 piece toe does. It looks like a boot doing an impersonation of a Moc toe.

3) The sole is tan colored instead of cream colored like a traditional Moc. This may just be personal preference but again, the traditional Moc toe is typically done with a creme sole.



I own several pairs of Nicks and in reality you will not find a tougher boot anywhere else. If those 3 things were different, they would be the best Moc on the market. I wish Nicks would make a TRADITIONAL Moc toe, instead of this half boot/half Moc toe hybrid.

This boot is build like a tank. Absolutely notice the quality and craftsmanship. The break in period is going to be rough but I can tell this boot will last me for decades.

Pros - Damn the quality is good! Have a RW 1907 and Iron Ranger.. the breaking in was hell! But this Nicks is like no break in required.. day 1 it’s almost sneaker comfort.. hard to believe but true. The sole compared to the crepe sole is so soft.. it’s a joy to wear. The price and wait time is high and long.. but if you’re a boot guy it’ll be the boots to have.. no kidding..

I ordered these boots in the standard 6 inch configuration with wedge sole in a beautiful brown chromexcel. The quality control for these boots is spectacular as there wasn't a single stitch out of place. I needed a durable boot for light work and day to day use and these are perfect for that. The break in period is no joke but well worth it. The price may be high in comparison to other name brands but you definitely I get what you pay for and the value is through the roof. Proud to be an owner of these hefty, gorgeous boots and cannot wait to wear them in for many, many years to come.
