Love the rolled top, great finishing tough

It started as a May sample sale notification to me. This allowed me to udertake my first custome Lace Up boot build with Nicks. Not long ago I was lucky enough to score a ready to ship FlexworkPro boot, in a TNW Last and really liked them, and nailed my size. So with the sample sale, I was able to choose the CXL Aniline Walnut leather, and then spec’ed 6” shaft, V-bar outsole, pull tab, and padded collar. Because of wanting to clear some sample leather’s, I guess, they went into production quickly, and I had them within a month. When they arrived, I was blown away by how beautiful these boots are. The fit is fantastic. They are a bit stiffer than my FlexworkPro boots, but even within the first few miles of walking they are settling into my feet. These were not inexpensive, despite the sample sale, and for me they are a “Grail Boot”. I can see them lasting the rest of my life (although in fairness, I am 71, so this may not be as long as one would hope…). Bravo Nicks!

First pair of Nicks after having other well known brands. Quality is exceptional. They will likely take a while to break in but partly due to living in a hot climate, but quite comfortable out of the box. As for sizing, I’d go wider on the next pair. Very happy so far.

The padded collar is great, it’s an extra layer of comfort on the boots and I’m happy I went with it. However as someone with a thicker calf, it can cause quite a hot spot in till it’s broken in. Once it’s broken in it’s fantastic

The "Rolled Top" style is much better than I had anticipated. I like it better than the Padded top.

Absolutely worth it, other PNW boot styles are at times uncomfortable without one. If you prefer comfort all day, add this on to your order!

Particularly good choice if you omit the pull tab, which I would only want on an 8" or taller boot.

I bought these to wear doing National Guard duty because I'm tired of common aftermarket brands wearing out too quickly. I also ruck once or twice a week in them (2-3 miles per). Like my other 3 pairs of Nick's (MTO Rangers, MTO Packers & Moc Toe work boots, they take some time to break in and I'm just now getting them broken in but I can tell they'll be just as good as my other 3 pair.

First time getting the padded collar and I’m really liking it. I have another DS 5” boot and sometimes notice the collar rubbing against my ankle, so the padded collar eliminates that.

Hgh quality and comfortable. I got work boots and they are taking their time breaking in. The leather is thick and tough. I ordered a second pair if that says anything.

Adds another dimension of detail to the boot, also feels great

Worthwhile upgrade in my opinion, have other heritage style boots with no padded collar and i prefer it for sure! $40 is a great value for the upgrade!

I like the roll top style.
