The Maxwell features our new waterproof Shackleton leather from Horween, a shorter single lift heel stack, and a thinner midsole construction for more flexibility and a lighter weight feel than our traditional logger style boots. The padded collar and soft buttery feel of the Shackleton leather provide all-day comfort, whether hiking or taking a stroll through the park.

Sizing
- Length: Our boots are longer than mass-produced footwear. With that in mind, we recommend going down a 1/2 size from your Brannock length. Example: If you normally wear size 12D, we recommend a size 11.5D for your Nicks.
- Width: In addition to length, consider the width of your feet when selecting boots, as most brands' boots are built with the standard D width. This measurement is typically more precise with a tailors tape rather than a Brannock device. Nicks offers a wide range to help fit your feet, with A-FF widths available in many of our lasts.

I really like the flexibility of these boots and they are comfortable I walk on hard surfaces for work I wish that this option was available on the other boots like the falcon
Great boots. Comfortable and pretty flexible out of the box, and Shackleton break in was minimal. If I was gonna advise any first pair of Nicks boots someone should get, it would probably be this one

Boots are beautifully made. Very comfortable. Remember that the THURMANNW last runs large, like a half to one full size from brannock.
