Red Card Program

As of October 1st, 2020, the USDA Forest Service increased the reimbursement amount for safety boots, making it easier for firefighters to access top-quality American-made boots at an affordable price of $500. Nicks Boots is proud to support these heroes in their noble endeavors, ensuring they have the utmost protection and comfort as they bravely face the flames by offering them Red Card Program boots for $520 and an expedited lead time on applicable models.

Returns, Refunds & Exchanges

We offer refunds and exchanges within 30 days of purchase. To be eligible for a refund or exchange, items must be returned in their original condition, with all tags and packaging intact.

We will notify you once we've received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you'll be automatically refunded to the original form of payment within 10 business days. Please remember, it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund. If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return, please contact us.

Please note that when returning for a refund, you are responsible for the cost of return shipping, and Nicks is not able to issue return labels and deduct the cost from the refund amount. Some Build Your Own models have a $50 non refundable deposit as stated on the product.

**Shipping Charges from the original order are non-refundable once an order is marked as shipped.

We do not accept returns or exchanges on the following items;

  • Returns received after 30 days of the original shipment date
  • Returns received in damaged/worn condition
  • Factory Seconds boots
  • Original shipping charges & fees after an order is marked as shipped
  • Final Sale or Close Out items cannot be returned, refunded or exchanged
  • Mismate size boots
  • Boots with custom upper adjustments or hand-cut patterns
  • Boots destroyed or damaged, or with general signs of wear and tear.


Exchanges 

  • Nicks will exchange any quick ship, classic, or custom configuration boot in new condition, within 30 days from the day the order is marked as shipped. We offer one exchange per boot per order, and boots must be in brand-new condition, not having been worn outside. Exchange boots will be the same model as the original order.
  • All boot orders except RTS and Factory Seconds are eligible for one exchange. We do issue return labels for size exchanges
  • If the exchange is due to a mistake on our end, we issue a return label. This exchange does not count as the one free size exchange, however we always recommend that you try on the boot to confirm sizing if possible. 


If you are still uncertain about what sizing will work for you, we offer our Buy With Confidence program! For first-time buyers we recommend purchasing one of our Quick Ship boot options for expedited lead times and a free size exchange if you get the boots and decide that they do not fit quite right.

Warranty Policy

If your boots are less than one year old, and are showing signs of a manufacturer defect, please email us the order number, and photos of the issue in a JPEG or PDF format and we will be glad to look into options from there with you! We do not warranty boots damaged by fire, natural elements, chemicals or wear. Additionally toe rub and squeaking are not covered under our warranty policy. An assessment of the repair will be made by inspection and the responsible party determined. Nicks will repair any boot, that by inspection, is a result of material or workmanship flaws within 12 months from the date of shipment.

Price Match Policy

If the model you ordered goes on sale up to 4-weeks* after the date the order was placed, please email or call us, and we can gladly refund you the difference to store credit, or the original payment method. *We may occasionally run sales that are exempt from the price match policy, exceptions will be clearly stated on applicable promotions.
